At North Yorkshire Music Service, we believe that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and transformative power of music. Our vision is to provide high-quality, inclusive music education and performance opportunities that inspire creativity, nurture talent, and build confidence—regardless of background or ability.

 We support musical journeys from early years through primary and secondary education, and into further study or employment, helping young people across North Yorkshire to realise their full musical potential. By working in partnership with schools, community organisations, cultural institutions, and local charities, we create a rich and diverse musical landscape that brings people together and strengthens communities.

Through our work, we aim to ensure that music is a vibrant and accessible part of every child’s life—awakening imagination, encouraging achievement, and enriching lives across the region.

 North Yorkshire Music Service, within North Yorkshire Council, are the Hub Lead Organisation for the music hub of North Yorkshire & York. The Hub Lead Organistion is responsible for supporting, delivering and enabling access to high quality music education activity for children and young people within a local area. The Hub programme funds a network of 43 Hub partnerships which cover every area of England.
